Did you know that today is the 49th anniversary of Medicare? President Johnson signed Medicare into law on this day, July 30, 1965. Currently, Medicare is our country’s health insurance program for people age 65 or older. However, if you are younger than age 65 it’s possible you can still qualify for Medicare too. Certain individuals with disabilities as well as those who have permanent kidney failure.
